Boy attacked by junior in school

NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy sustained injuries when his junior allegedly attacked him with a pointed object on their school premises at Delhi Cantonment on Monday.

The Class XI student was rushed to hospital and is now stated to be out of danger. His relatives claimed that he had to be operated upon. He suffered deep injuries in the lower abdomen and left shoulder.

According to the police, the incident took place around 12.30 p.m. when the boy and his three friends had an altercation with the accused and his friend, both students of Class VIII, who had reportedly passed lewd remarks at the victim’s sister studying in the same school.

It became violent after a verbal duel and the accused whipped out a pointed object and allegedly attacked the boy.
