CPI(M) rules out tie-up with Congress, TDP
Staff Reporter
Kakinada: CPM district secretary D Subba Rao ruled out the possibility of his party allying with Congress and Telugu Desam, saying that both of them were anti-people and have scant regard for the people’s welfare. Decision on tie-up with any other party, including the one proposed to be floated by actor Chiranjeevi, will be taken on the basis of policies but not personalities.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Rao said the CPI(M) would continue to fight against the anti-people policies which have become the trump card of the ruling party. However, it has no hesitation in sharing the platform with any other party committed to people’s welfare, particularly farmers and weaker sections.
