Christians’ plea to YSR

HYDERABAD: The National Congress of India Christians (NCIC) and Andhra Pradesh United Christian Association (APUCA) have urged the Government to implement the subsidy on travel to Israel with immediate effect.

Lent days

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, NCIC president C.A. Daniel Adams and APUCA chief S. Devasahayam wanted the Government to extend the facility with immediate effect as Christians were observing Lent days till March 23 (to be celebrated as Easter).

They said many Christians wish to visit Bethlehem (Israel), the birth place of Jesus Christ before Good Friday (March 21).
