NALGONDA: The Telugu Desam State vice-president Gutta Sukhender Reddy has sought to play down the verbal duel that took place between him and the party senior leader Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, former Minister, at the party State headquarters recently. “The argument between us is an intra-party affair. Our party leader Chandrababu Naidu would solve our problem and we carry on his directives,” Mr. Reddy told reporters here on Tuesday. He observed that the “argument” had nothing to do with any caste or religion. “Difference of opinion is very common in political parties and it can’t be seen from a caste angle. Please don’t misunderstand the incident,” the former MP clarified adding that he would treat and serve Dalits with “complete devotion.” AppealIt was “unfortunate” to give a caste colour to the incident, he maintained. He further appealed to the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi leader Manda Krishna Madiga not to misunderstand him in this regard. “I am committed to the development of the backward castes, Dalits and tribals. I was one of those who extended support to Krishna Madiga’s agitation,” he claimed. To a question Mr. Reddy said: “I am also a votary of the separate Telangana state. But then that is my personal opinion. I abide by the party president’s stand.”
