TUMKUR: National Aeronautics Laboratory (NAL), Bangalore, will provide ample opportunities to engineering students to pursue individual project studies and research leading to masters, M. Tech and Ph. D degrees, said N. Satyanarayan, chief of NAL’s “Knowledge and Technology Development Wing”. Dr. Satyanarayan, while inaugurating "Alumni Association" of the Channabasaveswara Institute of Technology (CIT) at Gubbi, near here on Tuesday, said: "Engineering students will find good opportunities to pursue higher levels of technological learning at NAL. Students can use hi-tech facilities at NAL to complete their projects and undertake research work in any area of technology. “The NAL has been working with tie-ups with 36 different countries. The engineering students can derive the benefits of this tie-up," said Dr. Satyanarayan. Praise for CITDr. Satyanarayan said he was very impressed by the advanced facilities created by CIT in a remote rural area like Gubbi. He said the growth of the college in less than six years was commendable. "CIT has basic infrastructure. I found the faculty highly competent. It is a mixture of young talent and experienced hands. Quality education is imparted,” he said, while lauding the services of G.S. Basavaraj, former MP, who took the risk of starting an engineering college in Gubbi. "It was a challenging task that has been well accomplished," he said.
