Examinations postponed: The part-one English supplementary paper of the BA, B.Sc examinations scheduled on February 13, 14 and 15 have been postponed to February 26, 17 and 28. There is no change in the examination time or in the examination centres. There is also no change in the date of the B.Com examinations.

MBBS examination: Applications for the third professional MBBS examinations beginning February 29 can be submitted without fine till February 16, with a fine of Rs.50 till February 19 and with a fine of Rs.250 till February 21. Candidates must remit Rs.200 as CV camp fee along with the regular examination fee.

Alumni meet: A meeting of the alumni and former teachers of the department of physics will be held at 2.30 p.m. on February 16 at the department hall.

MBA entrance: Applications for the entrance examination for admission to the MBA programme at the Institute of Management in Kerala can be submitted till April 5.

The application form can be downloaded from the website www.imk.ac.in. Those who appear for the final year degree examinations now can also apply.

Telephone counselling: The students counselling cell of the Centre for Adult Continuing Education and Extension has commenced a telephone counselling service for students of the SSLC / Plus Two examinations and for their parents.

The cell can be contacted in dealing with examination-related anxieties. All interactions will be kept confidential. This free service is available on phone 0471-2302524, from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all working days.

Orientation programme: Applications have been invited from principals of affiliated colleges for an orientation programme, beginning April 1, conducted by the Indian Institute of Education, Pune. The course fee is Rs.10,000. Details can be had from the website www.iiepune.org. e-mails can be sent to iiepune@vsnl.com.

Centre change: Candidates who have opted for St. Cyril’s College Adoor as the centre for the part one and two B.Com examinations beginning February 13 should write the examination at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara.

Honorary lecturer: A walk-in interview for appointment of honorary lecturers of English at the Teacher Education College of the university will be held at 10 a.m. on February 18 at the university office.

Those with NCTE-approved qualifications should report at the university office at 9 a.m. on the day along with original copies of relevant certificates.

MBA thesis: The last date for submitting the theses of the third semester full time (2006 scheme) MBA course and those of the fifth semester part-time (2006 scheme) MBA programme is February 29.

UIT fee: The examination fee for the fifth semester special supplementary examinations of all courses in the UITs can be paid without fine till February 12 and with fine till February 19.

MBBS revaluation: The last date for submitting applications for the revaluation of the answer sheets of the part one MBBS examinations held in August 2007 is February 13.

MA results: The results of the previous and final MA Political Science examinations of the Institute of Distance Education held in August / September 2007 have been published.

Applications for revaluation and scrutiny of the answer sheets should be submitted within two weeks of the receipt of the mark list at the respective examination centres.

Seminar: Under the aegis of the university health centre, a seminar on mental tension among children will be organised at Bishop Moore College, Mavelikkara on February 13. The college Principal will preside over the seminar.
