Fishermen to resume operations

PUDUKOTTAI: Responding to an assurance from the Tamil Nadu State Fishermen’s Association, mechanised boat owners of Jegadapattinam in Pudukottai district have decided to resume fishing from Wednesday. The decision was taken at a meeting of the Jegadapattinam Mechanised Boat Owners Association on Tuesday. It was convened in the aftermath of the firing by the Sri Lankan Navy on Saturday last, in which a fisherman of the village was killed.
