PepsiCo announces Waste to Wealth project, Livelihood Resource Centre initiatives among others Sangareddy: PepsiCo India in a press release here on Wednesday announced a series of initiatives for the State including a Waste to Wealth project, Livelihood Resource Centre (LRC) and financial support to a water management initiative in Malkapur village in Medak district with partnership between Government and an NGO. PepsiCo India will be investing a sum of over Rs. 30 lakh in the three projects. Wealth projectPepsiCo India, in partnership with Exnora and Sangareddy Municipality is setting up a Waste to Wealth program, the sixth such project in the country. This initiative at here will be executed with people’s participation through motivation and awareness generation activities. The LRC is an innovative employment skill development initiative by PepsiCo foundation in association with CAP foundation. The initiative aims at facilitating alternative livelihood to the rural youth living below poverty line, between the age group of 18-35 years by extending training in Customer Relations & Hospitality Management Courses with spoken English and computer education. PepsiCo India has also funded Malkapur village for a water supply project, providing financial support of Rs. 9.4 lakh to the district for a water contract with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).
