Narayana Thirtha’s aradhana starts

Special Correspondent

Thanjavur: Krishna Leela Tharangini sung by Narayana Thirtha Swamigal is a blend of Leelas of Krishna and philosophy of life said V. Jayaraman, a Chartered Accountant, at Thirupunthuruthi in Thanjavur district on Tuesday.

Inauguration

He inaugurated the 262nd aradhana of Narayana Thirtha Swamigal organised by the Sri Narayana Thirtha Aradhana Celebrations Committee.

He said that the Swamigal has brought the dasamaskandam of Bhagavatham in his works and describes from Lord Krishna’s birth to Rukmini Kalayanam. It may look like describing about child’s play but immersed in it is life’s philosophy.

Only for a child like Lord Krishna is possible to lift Govarthanagiri and protect people, do Kalinga Narthanam and kill Kalinga-a poisonous snake. Ten types of Bhakthi are described in the Tharangini and the rhythm and music are so good. It is said that Lord Krishna appeared before Narayana Thirtha and danced as he sung the Tharangini.

Narayanan, Industrialist from Bangalore said that Namasankeerthanam was popularised as a means to attain God by many saints.

Narayana Thirtha is one among them.

In the seventh century, three year-old Thirugananasambandar identified Lord Siva in his first devaram “Thodudaiya Seviyan.” This is possible because of Lord’s grace. Lord Krishna made Narayana Thirtha to render the Krishna Leela Tharangini, he said.

Seetha Ramji lighted the Kuthuvilakku to mark the inauguration, V. Venkatesan, secretary of the committee welcomed the gathering. B. Anantharaman, Joint secretary proposed a vote of thanks.

Vocal by T.M. Krishna and party followed the inauguration. Music programmes will continue for two more days.
