HASSAN: Activists of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, led by district president K.T. Ravindra Kumar, general secretary Vasantha Kumar and other office-bearers, took out a rally here on Wednesday, in protest against a derogatory statement allegedly made by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in against the people of the State on Monday. In a memorandum addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, the activists said that while their State president Narayana Gowda had been protesting urging the Government to accord preference to Kannadigas in railway recruitment, the Minister had made the derogatory remark.
