Rich haul for Gulbarga varsity students

GULBARGA: H.N. Archana and Pandit Basanna Konalli have bagged the highest number of gold medals in the 2006-07 Gulbarga University examinations for postgraduate and undergraduate courses. While Ms. Archana bagged seven gold medals for securing the highest mark in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) examination, Mr. Konalli matched her by bagging seven gold medals for securing the highest mark in M.A. Kannada.

Following is the list of gold medallists and cash award winners:

(two gold medals in M.A. Kannada from the PG Centre at Raichur), Shashikala Kalyani (gold medal in M.A. Kannada among lady candidates), Durgappa Ranganna (two gold medals in M.A. Kannada and Janapada), K. Madhavi (gold medal in M. Phil Kannada), B. Avinash Laxminarayan (gold medal in Income Tax paper in B.Com), Archana NeelakantaRao (gold medal in Principles and Practice of Auditing in B.Com among girl students) and Harshita Nagaraj (gold medal in BBM).

Faculty of Education: Jyashree Gangappa Bdiger (gold medal in M.Ed), Vishwanatha B. (gold medal in M.P.Ed), Vijaykumar Veeranna Belamgi (gold medal in B.Ed) and Manjunath Huligevva Arentanur (gold medal in B.P.Ed).

Faculty of Law: K. Gopinath Aswathchar (two gold medals in LLM), Ramu Paritala (five gold medals in LLB), G. Umadevi (two gold medals among lady students in LLB) and T. Vijayalaksmmi (gold medal in five-year LLB).

All these students will receive their medals, cash prizes and certificates at the 26th annual convocation of the Gulbarga University on February 18 from Chancellor of the University and Governor Rameshwar Thakur.
