KOZHIKODE: The all-India science exhibition ‘Biodiversity India’ that concluded at the Malabar Botanical Garden here on Wednesday met with a good response. N. Ansari, managing director of the botanical garden, said a lot of people, especially school students, visited the exhibition. A total of 11,000 school students visited the garden to watch the exhibition, Mr. Ansari said. These included students from Wayanad, Malappuram and Kannur districts. The exhibition, organised by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), was attended by more than 40 research institutions across the country. It showcased fossils of plants that lived more than 10 lakh years ago, different varieties of butterflies, birds, fish, domestic animals, spices and agricultural crops. The smallest plant, seed and frog and varieties of ginger were exhibited, as also different types of soil, water, wood and lifestyle of tribal people.
