Muzaffarnagar: A former Station House Officer has been sentenced to ten days in prison for a contempt of court case here on Wednesday. According to the prosecution, Inspector D.M. Verma was convicted and fined Rs.100 by the additional district sessions judge for failing to appear in court despite repeated issuance of non-bailable warrants against him. Mr. Verma was the Investigation Officer in a case in which three people were arrested under the Narcotics Act. He was supposed to appear in the court as a witness. Court ordered the police to produce him in court. PTI
