Patil visiting Chhattisgarh

NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil will visit Chhattisgarh on Thursday to make an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation in the State which is bearing the brunt of naxal violence.

Mr. Patil, who held a meeting on Tuesday with the State Chief Secretary and the police chief, will hold a review meeting with Chief Minister Raman Singh and senior officers of the State government.
