Councillor roughed up

NEW DELHI: A municipal councillor was allegedly roughed up by some men at Hardayal Municipal Library in Chandni Chowk here on Wednesday. Two of the accused have been arrested.

The incident took place around 2-30 p.m. when Municipal Councillor Suman Kumar Gupta, the honorary secretary of the library, intervened when some men were creating a ruckus in the library. The men allegedly manhandled Mr. Gupta.

While two of the accusedwere overpowered on the spot, the police have launched a hunt for four more persons.
