Deploy women personnel in PCR vans: Sheila

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: With the Police Control Room vans playing a key role in addressing emergency calls across the Capital, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday stressed the need for deploying women personnel on each of these vans so that issues related to women could be handled more sensitively.

Speaking at the launch of a booklet and CD of the National Commission for Women titled “Meera Didi Se Poochho”, Ms. Sheila Dikshit said the Delhi police should also recruit more women so that issues pertaining to women can be handled in a better way by women themselves.
