A truly multifaceted personality

Anu Hasan

In between doing her show on Vijay TV and working on her first Telugu film project, actor Anu Hasan plans to go on a 7-day cruise, scuba diving and hiking in the Andamans and back packing in Turkey.

The actor, who is awaiting the release of “Akk” in which she plays the role of a bomb squad leader, says she would like to play the role of a villain. “I refuse to play the hero’s mother. But the role of a villain is quite attractive,” she said.

Anu, who spoke to The Hindu after the launch of a book of poems recently, said she had been writing poems for over two years now. “I have penned over 145 poems and write about whatever strikes me at that point of time. I plan to publish it one day. But I am extremely non-defensive about my poetry since they are mine. They needn’t come to a particular standard. It just reflects the state of my mind at that time.”

She writes for a magazine Just for Women. Anu says she tried writing stories but it didn’t work. “I am good at writing dialogues.”
