Heroin seized

CHENNAI: Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence seized 760 grams of heroin. The authorities arrested a Nigerian national.

An official release said the authorities detained a parcel being sent to Canada. The 260 gram narcotic was kept concealed inside children’s books. The person who sent the parcel again booked another parcel with 500 grams of the same narcotics to Amsterdam. The seized contraband was valued at Rs 76 lakh.
