Chennai: Food Corporation of India recovered from a 0-1 deficit at half-time to take full points against Chennai Port Trust by the odd goal in three in the senior division hockey league at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium on Thursday. After Port Trust found the target nearing half-time with Gopi converting a penalty corner, FCI levelled with Nandakumar’s goal after resumption. Midway through, FCI picked up the winner through Venkatesan. There will be a break in the schedule and the league resumes on February 18. Arrows posts winArrows FC defeated TNSP 2-0 in the CFA senior division football league on Thursday. Murugan converted a pass from Ezekeil in the seventh minute to open the account for Arrows. Raj Mohan scored in the 45th minute, successfully netting a pass from Sanjay Gandhi. The win helped Arrows maintain its unbeaten run. In first division, Southern Railway beat Chennai Port Trust 3-1. Bharath scored a brace (10th and 72nd minutes), while Rajesh netted one in the 20th minute. Naveen reduced the margin in the 37th minute. NTC-A beats ETC-ANTC-A beat ETC-A 2-1 while MCC-B defeated Gandhinagar-A 2-1 in the TNTA ‘A’ zone tennis league being held here.
