DNA profiling ordered

NEW DELHI: The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences on Thursday ordered DNA profiling of a newborn girl and a woman following allegations that the latter had given birth to a boy who had been swapped with the girl at the Institute. Institute spokesperson Y. K. Gupta said: “We have collected blood samples of the child and parents to establish the child’s parentage and the mother will be discharged only after the matter is cleared up.”
