CPI(M) cadre stages dharna

Staff Reporter

NALGONDA: A large number of CPI(M) activists on Thursday staged dharna in front of the Munagala police station in protest against the “police failure” in averting attacks on their cadres in the mandal.

TDP district unit president Badugula Lingaiah Yadav also took part in the protest, extending his support to the movement.

Addressing the protesters, party district unit secretary and former legislator Nandhyala Narasimha Reddy said, “goons belonging to the ruling party are resorting to physical attacks and damaging the properties of our leaders. Police are acting in favour of the Congress leaders by foisting false cases against our party cadres,” he said. He also said that three teams were reportedly formed to kill party leaders-Burri Sreeramulu, Battula Veeraiah and Uyyala Narasaiah.
