Local lad to make debut as hero

VISAKHAPATNAM: Local lad Sanjay and Nisha Patel are debutant hero and heroine in a film to be produced by NSR Creations with D.S. Reddy as director, who also penned the story and screenplay.

Mr. Reddy, told reporters here on Friday that the film had the 1980 riots in the old city of Hyderabad as backdrop with the message of unity. Sentiment, love and emotion will be the mainstay. He said he had also studied at the Film Making Technical Institute at Australia, and added that some special filters would be used in the shooting.

The director said the shooting would begin in Hyderabad on February 28 and the first schedule would be completed by March 5. The 40-day second schedule will begin from March 7 here with shooting in and around the city and Araku and Bhimili. Two songs will be shot in Malaysia. The Rs.5 crore film will be readied for an early June release.

Sanjay has emerged winner from among 1,500 aspirants. The final choice narrowed down to a boy from Vijayawada and Sanjay, with the latter clinching the role. He took his lessons in acting from Satyanand’s Acting Institute here. Having acted in the forthcoming Pavan Kalyan-starrer Jalsa, he thanked Trivikram Srinivas for giving him a break.
