Wedding function

Thiruvananthapuram: Ten young couples from financially backward families will get married at a function at Sree Moolam Club here on Sunday. The event, sponsored by Heera Construction Company, will be inaugurated by Congress leader K. Karunakaran. Mayor C. Jayan Babu will present cheques of Rs.1 lakh each and A.R. Babu, MD, Heera Constructions, the wedding dress to the couples. Leaders of various political parties, including Pannian Ravindran, MP, and film actor Suresh Gopi, are expected to attend the function. — Special Correspondent
