First paperless office
Thiruvananthapuram: The IT Mission was declared the first paperless office by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan here on Friday. He said that it was part of the move to use information technology for improving the efficiency of government offices and avoid delay in handling of files. The scheme is being implemented using MESSAGE (Modern Electronic Systems and Services to Agility and Governance in Enterprise), a software developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC). The software enables the handling of files anytime and anywhere. —Special Correspondent
