Unify, Congress workers told

Special Correspondent

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress president Sonia Gandhi exhorted her party workers in Kerala to work united for a change in government in the State.

“I want you all to work with unity. You should work together for a change in Kerala. When I say change, I know you all know what I mean. Work for a change in government in the State. The feedback I get from here is very encouraging,” she told top leaders of her party during a brief interaction with them after inaugurating a new office building of the Thiruvananthapuram District Congress Committee (DCC).

She was received at the entrance of the new party building by DCC president V.S. Sivakumar. Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi, K. Karunakaran, G. Karthikeyan, M.M. Hassan, and Thalekunnil Basheer welcomed her.

She unveiled a plaque marking the inauguration of the building and addressed the party functionaries who were waiting inside.
