Correction

In a report “Accident costs school student his leg” (Chennai city, February 15, page 5), the seventh paragraph was incomplete. It was an editing error.

It should have read “Eyewitnesses said Lakshmanan (37), driving a Maruti Swift, allegedly hit the autorickshaw coming in the opposite direction.”

In another report on the same page “More commuter amenities proposed at MRTS stations” (February 15) the third paragraph was “with the railway stations on the MRTS sector lacking inadequate illumination, it [Southern Railway] has taken steps to replace defective electrical fittings and to provide additional lights in areas where there are none.”

It should have read “with the railway stations on the MRTS sector lacking adequate illumination, it has taken steps to replace defective electrical fittings and to provide additional lights in areas where there are none.”
