BMTC drive

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) with the help of retired police officers caught 42 persons who were indulging in resale of day bus passes. These persons were handed over to the police for further action. With the aid of the retired police officers, BMTC also conducted intensive line checking drive. As many as 5,542 trips were checked, 1,006 cases were booked and a penalty of Rs. 2,68,885 was collected from 1,968 defaulters who were travelling without tickets.
