Sound of Boot Sound of Boot, directed by Shaji Kailas, fails to evoke the suspense and thrill associated with crime detection. The central character is a police officer, Sidharth Mahadev (Suresh Gopi), who is investigating three murder cases. These murders are motivated by personal vendetta for wrongs committed in the past. The bland narration of events fails to induce empathy in the viewers. Two senior police officers Nambiar (Rajan P. Dev) and Sathar (Riza Bawa) are murdered within days of their retirement from service. Superintendent of Police Sidharth Mahadev investigates the case. Without much effort, he identifies the suspects, Rahul Krishna (Bala) and Sankara Narayanan (Murali). Meera had eloped with Rahul Krishna and the couple stayed at a holiday home. Sankara Narayanan was the caretaker of the home. The truth is revealed later in an incident during the Emergency in 1975. Nambiar, Sathar and Sebastian (Bheeman Raghu) had tortured a firebrand newspaper editor who exposed their misdeeds. G. Jayakumar
