Topper in quiz contest

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arathy Anil, a class X student of Carmel Girls High School, has bagged the first prize in the district-level quiz competition on “Understanding Planet Earth” for high school students.

The quiz, organised by District Implementation and Monitoring Committee, NGC, at Sasthra Bhavan, Pattom, on Saturday was held as part of selecting the district representative to the State-level competition to be held on February 27.

Anand Sreekumar, a class VIII student of Loyola School and Mohammed Shabaz, a class IX student of Kendriya Vidayala, Akkulam, bagged the second and third prize respectively.

E.P. Yesodharan, Principal Secretary, Science and Technology, distributed the prizes.
