‘Paruthiveeran’ makes it to Berlin festival

A hit: Karthi and Priyamani in “Paruthiveeran”
Chennai: Tamil film ‘Paruthiveeran’ has officially made it to the Berlin International Film festival. The 58th Berlin International film festival opened on February 7.
Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Om Shanthi Om’ was shown as part of a special screening at the festival.
According to director Ameer, “This year nearly 135 films will be screened at the Berlin film festival.
‘Paruthiveeran’ has been chosen by their official selection committee for their Forum section and I am happy to be there at the venue to see the reaction of the audience. During the 10-day festival, our film is to be screened five times, which includes two German sub-titled versions and three English sub-titled versions. International film critics will also see the film.”
Actors Karthi Sivakumar and Priyamani play the lead and Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music for the film. Last year ‘Paruthiveeran’ got the best film award at the Osian film festival.
