Eight killed in A.P. road accident

Staff Reporter

NALGONDA: Eight persons were killed and five others sustained serious injuries when a lorry hit the autorickshaw in which they were travelling at Madugulapalli in Tipparthy mandal in the early hours of Saturday.

The victims were going to attend a family function.

All the victims were identified.

While the cement-laden lorry was on its way to Nalgonda from Miryalaguda, the ill-fated autorickshaw was going to Settipalem from Aaga Mothkur in Vemulapally mandal.

The Nalgonda DSP N. Venkataswamy told The Hindu that the lorry driver’s negligence might have caused the tragedy.
