Dubai Duty Free sales touch $880m

MUMBAI: The Dubai Duty Free (DDF) sales hit S$880 million in 2007, a 24 per cent growth compared with the previous year. Dubai Duty Free is forecasting sales of $1 billion in 2008. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Airports Company, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group has indicated in a release that it had worked hard to maintain the position as one of the top three duty free operations in the world. — Special Correspondent
