Good day for KMC sides

MANGALORE: Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal got its campaign for the Ace Surgical Cup back on track with a four-wicket win over S.C.S. College of Nursing here on Saturday.

In the other match played on Saturday, KMC ‘B’ Mangalore proved too good for Justice K.S. Hegde Medical Academy (Deralakatte), winning by 55 runs.

The scores: S.C.S. College of Nursing 105 in 19.2 overs (Sumith Mathew 30, Sonu Punnose 23, Azad Shammad five for 22, Prabhat Kiran two for 18) lost to KMC Manipal 106 for six in 15.3 overs (Vishal Desai 38, Kamal Paul three for 14).

KMC ‘B’ (Mlr) 181 for eight in 20 overs (Safal Shetty 62, Himmat Singh 37, Sukhmandeep 25, Chidanand Kamath three for 28, Rahul Shetty two for 21) beat KSHEMA 126 for seven in 20 overs (Sanketh Shetty 28, Nishanth A. 22, Rahul Shetty 20 not out, Vikas Bora three for 33, Anuj Choudhury two for 10). — Staff Correspondent
