Olawale shoots ONGC to victory

NEW DELHI: Two goals by Salau Nuruddin Olawale, including one through a penalty, helped Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (Mumbai) to a 2-1 victory over Punjab Police (Jalandhar) in a group ‘A’ league match of the fourth Lt. Governor’s Cup DDA football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Saturday.

Guriqbal Singh had put the Policemen ahead earlier.

In another match in the same group, Peerless Club (Kolkata) was held to a 1-1 draw by Ahbab Club.

Manik Burman put the Kolkata team ahead after a barren first half and Isiah equalised for Ahbab. — Special Correspondent
