Advocate K. Srinivasan’s contributions recalled

Reference section on taxation law named after him
|
CHENNAI: A portrait of advocate K. Srinivasan was unveiled and a reference section on taxation law named after him was declared open at a function organised by the Revenue Bar Association (RBA) here on Saturday.
Former judge of Supreme Court S. Ranganathan unveiled the portrait. Srinivasan, who practised law for over five decades specialised in taxation law, particularly income tax.
The reference section would be kept in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal functioning in Rajaji Bhavan.
Speakers, including R.V. Easwar, Vice-President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Delhi Zone, highlighted Srinivasan’s proficiency in law and his contributions to the field. They also recalled their experience of working with Srinivasan.
RBA president V.S. Jayakumar said Srinivasan was the founder member and former president of the RBA. Former Vice-President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal D.S. Meenakshisundaram and RBA secretary P.H. Arvindh Pandian participated in the function.
