DPA should retain power: Karunanidhi

VELLORE: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Democratic Progressive Alliance should retain power in the next elections to meet the demands of the people,

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi said here on Saturday.

Laying the foundation stone for the Rs.45.55-crore building for the Thiruvalluvar University and inaugurating new buildings and schemes and distributing welfare aids to beneficiaries at a function got up at Serkadu, the site of the university building, Mr. Karunanidhi said the newspersons who saw the rousing reception given to him on his way from Chennai to Vellore would write that the next government would be that of the DPA.

“We want to retain power not for the sake of enjoying power but to use the power to fulfil the demands of the people.”
