Health University convocation tomorrow

VIJAYAWADA: Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences will conduct its 12th annual convocation here at Sri Tummalapalli vari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram on February 18.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, University Vice Chancellor A. V. Krishnam Raju said that the university would award degrees to as many as 4,879 candidates, including 91 candidates from Super Specialty and PG courses.

A total of 765 candidates would receive their degrees in absentia. The remaining degrees had been issued in advance, he said.

Dr. Krishnam Raju said that Governor and Chancellor N D Tiwari would preside over the convocation, while National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) President Prema Ramachandran would be the chief guest.

At the convocation, as many as 65 candidates would be given gold and silver medals besides cash prizes for meritorious performance, he said.
