Two-year-old girl mauled by stray dog

MECHERI: Lokapriyadarshini, a two-year-old girl who was playing in front of her house here was mauled by a stray dog on Saturday.

She was admitted in the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital.

When the girl started crying neighbours rushed to the spot and chased the dog away. The badly injured child was taken to the Mettur District Headquarters Hospital where she was given a First Aid.

Later she was referred to the Salem hospital. Residents staged a protest.
