PERAMBALUR: The Perambalur Mini Marathon on Sunday saw the participants putting in wholehearted efforts.

Organised for the first time by the Perambalur District Athletic Association (PDAA) under the auspices of Tamil Nadu Athletic Association (TNAA), the event conducted in five categories – men, women, boys (under-20), boys (under-15) and girls, attracted more than 10,000 participants from across the State.

Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology A. Raja flagged off the mini marathon from the Collector’s office here in the presence of TNAA president W.I. Dawaram. For men, the marathon was for 21 km.
