Chandigarh: The Haryana Government will rent out its eight dispensary buildings pertaining to health Department in Gurgaon district to private corporate houses “as these were lying abandoned since their construction”. These dispensaries would be run on the pattern of a dispensary already being run by a private corporate house like Seagram’s in sector 45 of the district, an official spokesman said here on Sunday. He said that these dispensaries were constructed by Haryana Urban development Authority (HUDA). He said that 25 proposals in all were received from various corporate houses to rent out the dispensaries. The spokesperson said these corporate houses have been given the abandoned dispensaries on the condition that they would provide best health services to the patients coming in the dispensaries. He said that the sector 49 dispensary would be rented out to Global cancer Concern India while the dispensaries at sector 54 and 39 had been rented out to DLF Pvt. Ltd. Similarly, the Palam Vihar dispensary would be run by National Thalasemia Welfare Soeciety while the sector 57 dispensary had been rented out to Vedram Charitable Trust. The dispensary at sector 40 would be run by Chikitsa Society and the dispensaries at sector 55 and 43 would be managed by Genpact Private Limited. — PTI
