Awareness workshop

NEW DELHI: The North-East District Police organised a workshop to create awareness about the provisions and enactment of the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College here over the weekend .

Speaking on the occasion, Additional District and Sessions Judge Talwant Singh elaborated on the legal provisions of the Act and called upon the people to co-operate in its implementation. The district Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaspal Singh, stressed the need for society to join hands with the police to curb the menace of female foeticide.
