S. Rly. posts win

VATAKARA: Southern Railway (Chennai) defeated Cochin Port Trust 25-16, 25-16, 25-18 in a pool ‘B’ men’s match of the National Volleyball League here on Sunday.

Late on Saturday night, Southern Railway had to sweat it out against city-mate Indian Bank (Chennai) before winning 20-25, 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13 in a pool ‘B’ match. Punjab Police defeated Cochin Port Trust 25-23, 25-16, 25-23 in another pool ‘B’ match. In pool ‘A’ KSEB (Thiruvananthapuram) overcame East Coast Railway 25-20, 25-20, 25-22.
