BHUBANESWAR: Run for Green, a mini marathon organised by Orissa Mining Corporation (OMC) and State Sports and Youth Affairs, here on Sunday attracted hundreds of students, politicians, sportspersons and senior citizens to take part in the event. The 15-km marathon started from Kalinga Stadium and passed through Governor House square, Raj Mahal, Master Canteen and Nicco Park. About 4,000 participants in both male and female category covered the distance in the morning. The marathon carried a message of making own surroundings green. In male category, Jandu Soren emerged as the winner while Saraswati Chand finished first among female runners. Due to Sunday morning, the mini-marathon did not cause any traffic congestion.
