Eight suspected Bangladeshis held
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD: Eight suspected Bangladeshi nationals were taken into custody by the city police at Secunderabad railway station on Sunday.
They were travelling by the Gorakhpur-Secunderabad-Bangalore Express when the police raided two compartments after the train reached Secunderabad railway station around 4.30 p.m. They were going to Bangalore.
“We raided the compartments and took the foreign nationals into custody following a tip off. We are questioning them on their plans to go to Bangalore,” said a senior police official. They revealed that they entered the country illegally by crossing the border between West Bengal and Bangladesh.
