A novel experience for schoolchildren

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Science Facilitation Centre (SFC) of the Department of Physics, Mar Ivanios College, turned out to be a novel experience for school students.

M. Sivasankar, Director of Public Instruction, who inaugurated the programme on Saturday, lauded the college for opening up resources of the institution to students for creative science experiments and projects.

M. Anand of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, was awarded a special prize for the best talent of the SFC for 2007-08. Mathew Manakarakavil, Principal of the college, presided over the function. V.S. Jayakumar, Head of the Department of Physics, welcomed the gathering.
