Budget hailed

Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has kept every promise he made to people and this clearly reflects in the State Budget for 2008-09, according to Congress city president Pyla Sominaidu.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, Mr. Sominaidu said no government in the past had proposed a Budget with such huge allocations for development and welfare. This would auger well for the Congress in the ensuing elections.

Malladi Vishnu, a former chairman of the Vijayawada Guntur Tenali Mangalagiri – Urban Development Authority, said it was a welfare-oriented budget.
