35 injured as bus falls into dry river

VILLUPURAM: A State Transport Corporation bus plying on the Chennai-Kumbakonam route fell into the dry Then Penniyar at the Kandrakottai bridge near here on Sunday.

As the bus turned upside down about 35 passengers suffered injuries.

While 23 of them have been referred to Panruti government hospital, 12 were taken to the Villupuram Government Hospital. The condition of one woman is said to be serious.
