Congress justifies Sonia’s observations

Special Correspondent

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala has termed provocative and indecent statements of Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan and the State secretaries of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the CPI against Congress president Sonia Gandhi for her observations on the Left Democratic Front government’s performance.

In a statement here on Sunday, Mr. Chennithala said that Ms. Gandhi had made an honest evaluation in a respectable way. The Chief Minister criticised her because he had nothing to state against his party’s evaluation of the government’s performance.
