Chennai: Man-of-the-Match Ramananth scalped four wickets for 12 runs to help Kedar CA defeat Prahlad CA by nine-wickets in the semifinals of the Prahlad under-10 cricket tournament here. The scores (semifinals): Prahlad CA 73 in 21.3 overs (C. Saiprasad 27, Ramananth four for 12, Bhargav three for six) lost to Kedar CA 75 for one in 10.1 overs (S. Aravind 47 not out). TEIPL 71 in 20.2 overs (Pradhan 29, J.Gokul Krishna three for 12) lost to FS CA 72 for four in 17 overs (K. Aravind 33 not out). Brace by GanesanPSG College, Coimbatore, defeated Sir Thiyagaraya College, Chennai, 2-0, in the knock-out qualifying final match of the Rev. Fr. Murphy memorial football tournament, organised by Loyola College, on Sunday. Ganesan scored a brace for the visitor. His first goal came in the 39th minute, after which he netted again in the 48th minute. Other results: Voories College, Vellore 2 (Allwyn Benial 19th min, Allen 57th) bt Gurunanak College, Chennai 0.
