Control room opened

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A round-the-clock control room to monitor and coordinate activities carried out by the City Corporation in connection with the Attukal Pongala was opened by Mayor C. Jayan Babu in the city on Saturday. Directions have been issued to health inspectors to prevent the use of plastic bags of thickness below 30 microns on the festival premises. For cleaning works in the festival zone, devotees should contact the control room on ph: 245 9408. — Staff Reporter
